We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP of Platform Engineering to join our organization. As the VP of Platform Engineering, you will lead our teams in the design, build and update of our platform to ensure it is reliable, scalable and secure. Your expertise in platform engineering, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices will be critical in enabling our teams to deliver innovative applications and services. • Define the platform architecture, selecting appropriate technologies and configure the platform
• Implement and manage major incidents, communications, post-incident root cause analysis, and command centre operations
• Design frameworks and adopt scalable operation strategies (e.g. cloud) to improve the platform in line with company goals, market trends, and customer needs
• Improve systems and processes by implementing suitable cloud operations and solutions, managing infrastructure and network-related issues, and ensuring prompt resolutions
• Manage third-party technology supplier lifecycles, including service quality, audit, and integration into the command centre architecture
• Proactively detect and prevent potential downtime by monitoring platform performance and potential threats
• Collaborate closely with the CISO to mitigate downtime caused by security breaches

• Extensive experience and technical engineering knowledge with a demonstrable track record of designing scalable and secure platforms 
• A motivational and inspirational delivery focused leader with strong experience of developing and managing large diverse teams
• Deep knowledge of software infrastructure and cloud technologies
• Strong communication and presentation skills that allow you to explain complex technical matters across various stakeholders
