Role Introduction

Opportunity to join the DevOps Centre of Excellence as a DevOps Engineer working across BU's supporing the cloud adoption for products on AWS platform, working with multiple technology stacks in a wide variety of environments. The role involves working on enhancing existing and future solutions related to DevOps utilizing various services available within AWS.

What You Will Do

  • Creating and enhancing automation (CI/CD) using components configured on AWS

    • Expanding the toolchain functionality and availability, including adding integration points to the toolchain API
    • Working with teams to improve processes
    • Defining and delivering key development and operational patterns and practices.
    • Work on implementing and troubleshooting standalone and pipelined automation.
    • Apply knowledge and experience creatively to design, test and implements solutions to problems while conforming to best practice.
    • Analyze architectural solutions and advise on changes to deliver operational and cost efficiency, risk mitigation and alignment with best practice.
    • Drive efficiency through automation and use of patterns to drive efficiency in a measurable way.

What You Will Have

  • Overall 4-5 years of IT experience
    Good hands on knowledge of AWS Services like EC2, ECS, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, VPC, Lambda, API Gateway, Cloud Watch, Cloud Formation etc.

    • Experience of hosting and managing applications on AWS • Experience in CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins build pipelines)
    • Experience in containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
    • Hands-on experience with one or more programming languages (e.g. NodeJs, Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Java, C#)
    • Experience in Architecting and supporting cloud based products will be a plus
    • Experience in Terraform, Cloud Formation, PowerShell & Bash will be a plus
    • Able to self-manage multiple concurrent small projects, including managing priorities between projects
    • Operational awarness and understanding of ITIL fundamentals.
    • Able to quickly learn new technologies
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Strong communication and documentation skills
