Role Introduction

We are looking for a motivated self-starter, with a keen interest for software product development, Engineering KPI’s & Analytics. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for strategic and tactical reporting on strategic & operational goals for product development, quality, cost and delivery, tracking efficiency, optimizing and driving engineering excellence across all Business Unit.

 

You will work closely with all internal & external stakeholders. You will partner with Engineering function and help them on tracking and managing quality of service delivery, engineering efficacy, striving for best in class products and business practices to deliver to the customer’s expectations, working with teams and projects across the business. You will be responsible for enterprise reporting of product and portfolio performance to executive stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Software delivery performance analysis and insight reporting
  • Understanding what data is telling & effectively generating the right reporting outcomes
  • Automate and deliver as a digital vs paper experience for the audience – ideally by building a real-time dashboard
  • Track and report key metrics, performance indicators across all areas of the Engineering function to ensure that all projects are delivered within cost and on time to the highest quality standards
  • Enterprise reporting of product and portfolio performance
  • Identify trends and patterns through analysis of complex data sets
  • Development of analytic dashboards and communication of insights Developing and implementing data analysis, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Work closely with top management to prioritize information and analytic needs
  • Support managers in maintaining product vision and roadmaps, managing the Resource allocation, Knowledge Management, Ideation, program risks and issues as well as implementing the best practices across product lines
  • Aid managers & principal engineers with exception reporting
  • Track skill levels of the employee and training needs
  • Work closely with stakeholders and executive team to support strategy execution
  • Cross function collaboration
  • Assist in planning of the Roadmap & Budget with the wider team
  • Maintain Metrics & Reports for Leadership team

What You Will Have

Overall 12+ years of experience and out of which must have had at least 3-5 years of Performance and Analytics or similar leading experience in engineering

 

People Management

  • Provide leadership, coach, mentor, develop direct reports, and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, adds value, and reduces costs
  • Manage communication between teams under leadership, to facilitate exchange of information and to implement change and improvements
  • Work with team to translate strategy into specific annual performance goals and objectives including KPIs to track
  • Monitor ongoing progress and performance. Provide timely feedback.

 

Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
  • Work collaboratively and engage with Directors/Engineering Managers/Principal Engineers to facilitate delivery and compliance with the engineering strategy

  • Inspire and motivate the team

  • Data Accuracy and an eye for details. Be passionate about process and standardization. Be good at extracting the salient points out of a pool of data/information and summarize data for management

 

Qualification, Skills & Behavioral Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Analytics with strong math and analytical background. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for the position
  • Understanding of engineering  KPI’s and Metrics and able to derive meaningful insights
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, AHA! (desirable), Power BI, Harness SEI, SQL, Excel reporting capabilities
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to optimize team performance and development
  • Communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Result oriented with ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
