Role Introduction

We are seeking an ITSM QA Engineer with a strong focus on Technical QA and Automation, bringing over 12 years of industry experience. This role is critical for ensuring the quality and performance of our IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions, driving automation in testing strategies, and contributing to continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

Key Performance Areas:

 

  1. Automated Testing Excellence
    • Performance Expectation: Design, develop, and execute robust automated test scripts for ITSM applications using industry-standard tools.
    • Success Metrics: Achieve a minimum of 95% test coverage on critical applications and reduce manual testing time by 50%.
  2. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Performance Expectation: Work closely with development, product, and operations teams to define and gather testing requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
    • Success Metrics: Establish regular touchpoints, achieving at least 90% stakeholder satisfaction regarding testing communication and requirements clarity.
  3. Quality Assurance Leadership
    • Performance Expectation: Conduct thorough functional, regression, and performance testing on ITSM platforms, guaranteeing high-quality deliverables.
    • Success Metrics: Maintain defect leakage rates below 5% post-production and meet all project deadlines without compromising quality.
  4. Continuous Improvement and Innovation
    • Performance Expectation: Stay abreast of the latest trends in QA and ITSM, and continuously refine testing strategies and practices.
    • Success Metrics: Implement at least two new tools or methodologies per year that improve testing efficiency or effectiveness.
  5. Mentorship and Team Development
    • Performance Expectation: Mentor junior QA engineers and promote a culture of quality and continuous learning within the team.
    • Success Metrics: Achieve positive feedback from mentees and a measurable increase in the skill level of the team through regular assessments.
  6. CI/CD Implementation
    • Performance Expectation: Implement and enhance Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
    • Success Metrics: Ensure all critical applications have automated deployment processes with a deployment success rate of 98%.

What You Will Have

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in QA with a focus on ITSM applications and automation.
  • Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, Java) for test automation.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) and containerization (e.g., Docker).
