Cloud & AIOps - Automation Engineer

As a Senior Platform Operations Automation Engineer, your mission is to lead the transformation of platform operations through automation, AIOps, and self-service engineering. You'll directly impact customer experience, system resiliency, and team productivity by reducing manual toil and introducing self-healing infrastructure.

1. Lead and Deliver Platform Automation Initiatives
• Assess and identify top 10 manual processes or high-volume service tickets.
• Design and deploy at least 3 high-impact automation solutions (e.g., automated patching, restart workflows, backup validation).
• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and platform engineering teams to integrate automation into daily ops.
2. Identify and implement automation and optimization strategies to reduce operational challenges.
• Analyze top incident categories and recurring patterns.
• Build automated diagnostics and remediation flows using AI/ML and scripting (Python, Terraform, Ansible).
• Implement operational dashboards to track performance gains and incident reduction.
3. Design & Implement AI-Driven Auto-Remediation Framework
• Integrate AIOps platforms (e.g., Moogsoft, Dynatrace, BigPanda) for early anomaly detection and automated root cause analysis.
• Develop a prototype AI-based decision engine for incident triage and self-healing actions.
4. Own Self-Service Platform Capabilities
• Build or enhance self-service tools (e.g., restart services, rotate credentials, deploy patches) for internal platform teams.
• Enable automation-as-a-service models using Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps pipelines.
5. Modernize Observability and Alerting
• Define and deploy unified alerting strategy across environments.
• Implement auto-tagging and intelligent suppression mechanisms for actionable alerts only.

• Experience : 6 to 9 years 
• Strong scripting (Python, Bash, Go).
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet/Chef.
• Hands-on with AIOps tools (e.g., Moogsoft, Dynatrace).
• Containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Proficient in Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud models.
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI pipelines in Ops.
