Role Introduction

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Development Team Leader to help drive revenue growth by both contributing as an individual SDR and coaching our team to success. The ideal candidate will be a top-performing SDR with a passion for developing and mentoring others. They should have a proven track record of consistently exceeding quotas and be able to bring fresh insights into processes and strategies for identifying and qualifying potential sales opportunities.

In this player/coach role, you’ll lead by example, hitting your own targets while guiding and motivating the team to meet their lead generation goals. You will ensure a steady pipeline of qualified leads for the sales team and continuously refine outreach strategies for optimal results.

As the Team Leader, you will also be responsible for driving team performance, tracking key KPIs, and aligning SDR activities with the organisation’s broader sales objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Be a player/coach within the SDR team, manage daily tasks to ensure personal quota obtained and support the team to drive success (50/50 role)
  • Complete SDR end of week activity spreadsheet, discuss with manager where remedial action needs to be taken and highlight successes
  • Ensure lead dashboards are clear by close of business each day in accordance with business SLAs (allocate leads & follow up with SDRs regularly throughout the day)
  • Work closely with the enablement team to support training of new SDRs, feedback to manager any training needs and support as required
  • Provide weekly update to manager on new SDRs, giving an overview of performance, attitude and any other relevant feedback
  • Monitor new starters CRM activity to ensure it meets with company guidelines (MELs, SALs, opportunities, booking meetings)
  • Work with the team to evovle high quality outreach sequences that cover all platforms (e.g. Email, LinkedIn, Calls, Direct Mail etc.).
  • Identify underperformance risks early. Liaise with manager to rectify by putting appropriate plans in place
  • Create suggestions for improvements to processes, with a focus on delivering quality pipeline for sales teams that converts to revenue.
  • Participate in Sales Kick Offs, Trainings and Off-sites.
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams on measuring the quality of MELs, MQLs, as well as processes for SDR outreach on specific campaigns & events.
  • Meet regularly with your mentor & complete in-house manager training to expand your leadership and coaching skills.

  • Proven experience in sales development, sales, or related field.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, achieving sales targets, and building strong customer & internal stakeholder relationships.
  • Willingness to develop strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on driving business outcomes and delivering value to the organisation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, SalesLoft & Gong. [or similar products]
